OK, guess it's just on my end.

I'll work on figuring it out.

    Carry on chaps.
I've added a direct link bellow the chart so you can view it if you dont figure out the problem.
    Thanks John.

Edit: still wanted me to sign in to google docs, but it now shows on post 2 so it's all good.

    Thanks Solarstarshines for the help!

EDIT: Voltage according to BIOS is 1.3750 V, not 1.4 as shown in the validator

After a few hours of trying, I just don't think my CPU can do 5GHz. I'll post this up though.

Nice overclock, Kelly. Have you tried the same settings with the FSB at 103? If it will run like that, it will put you over the line. You may find this a good read if you haven't read it before.

That is the guide I use......very good information. I tried bumping up the FSB and it just can't handle it. I think I'm at the upper limit of this 3570K and honestly, it's fast enough at stock speed to do more than what I need. For Ivy Bridge and a 3570K, it's probably in the top 30% of chips as far as OC ability......can't complain about that.

Also, it isn't a heat issue keeping me from reaching 5GHz, I can't get it to boot because of too much voltage. When I use a manual voltage of 1.530 or more, save changes and reboot, it won't post and I have to lower it. As far as I am aware, there is no getting around that. Fun to play around with though!

I don't know how everyone feels about this, is it cheating? Is it not? I am not fussed about the speed being posted in the leaderboards either way as it seems a little too easy to me.

Nah, let's concentrate on max bootable;validadatble / forget stable.

    Edit:

Seems I can't play. I've got me some Gremlins.

CPU-Z freezes the system when validating.

And after a couple of hard resets, my BIOS is 'making up' it's own settings.

I disabled HT. It stayed Enabled.
It disabled the VM option itself.
It then set itself back to Auto for the ratio. Turned the OC off without touching anything else.

CPU-Z has never been quite right for me in Windows 8 for some odd reason.

Patrick, Asus had some bugs in bios that did similar thing to a lot of boards. The latest update fixed those. Of course it could be another windows 8 thing too.

So close but yet so far
    CPU-Z Validator 3.1
It booted to desktop@5Ghz but bsod'd before i could validate it and needed a cmos reset to boot again, So i gave up for now
It was more that likely due to HT,Cpu/nb and memory being too high for the 5Ghz. We shall see!

Lol, going to sneak in while there are few entries, as I'll get booted soon :) This is just a BCLK change from 133Mhz to 160Mhz. All turbo and power savings on.
