I agree with Paul. As far as the overclocking ability of the B75 boards, I think it is pretty well documented. I hope you stuff sells quickly, and you get a good overclocking board. I think you will be much more satisfied with it.

Go in hard or go home! These Ivy's are pretty tough, I still can't blow it up.

It's only fitting seeing as I started the thread to show you all some hardcore overclocking.

I think you can forget what I said in my last post with that motherboard mate. Correct me if I am wrong, but the B-series are designed primarily for non K series CPU's and don't really offer much if any Overclocking.

I would strongly advice that you get a Z77 board even if its a cheap one like this - Asus P8Z77-V LX2 Socket 1155 VGA HDMI 8 Channel Audio.. | Ebuyer.com
Yeah I understand that but i'd have to wait/find things to sell to afford that :/
Well if it was me, I would rather wait another month or however long it takes to find another £30 rather than wasting £50+ on a board and then needing to find £80+ to upgrade it.

I know what you are saying, but you will be annoyed at having such a great CPU and not being able to use it properly.
    This is Very true

I'll go ahead and agree with everybody above. The B series boards are more for business oriented computers, which won't be overclocked. Pretty much any Asus Z77 board will do what you want, so don't waste your cash, save up and buy a good board. Buy once, cry once. And Paul........what are you doin to us bud? LOL

It was just a mild OC Kelly lol.

I actually think I can't get any higher with this CPU, I was aiming for 5.4GHz but after many failed attempts I had to settle for that measly speed

This screenie makes my OC look awesome lol

It's a good chip, that's for sure........next thing you know you'll be insulating the socket, chipping off dry ice and turning off 3 of the 4 cores.

Yeah the LN2 is being delivered tomorrow lol.

I don't see the point of that sort of stuff, and using 1 core is cheating in my books!
