I haven't posted in this thread for a while but I have been hiding in the shadows watching.
Still running the rig in my specs. My old grandpa computer died for ever. A while back the power supply blew up and I think all the damage finally showed up. It's not worth fixing.
I got to build another one.
I'm understanding that Intel will have a new cpu out soon. (not the Haswell) is that correct?

Ivy Bridge-Extreme will come out in September, and will share the socket 2011 platform with Sandy Bridge-Extreme. The next mainstream architecture, after Haswell, will be Broadwell I think. That is a year or more away though.
Thanks for the information. I will still be in the shadows watching because their is a lot of very good information coming from this thread.
Thanks to all.

I have been curing Artic Silver 5 on my new Antec920 and results are very promising
I ran IBT two quick passes ,also I changed some fan rotation added a couple more SP Corsair HP fans
total of 4 SP Corsairs HP's 2 on the Block push/pull and two in the front of the case pushing in
One LED240mm facing in One 200mm Top of case facing in
One Kaze Mugen Slipstream facing the PSU 2000rpm
Khuler results
Now if I didn't get the Khuler 920 I wanted the Thermaltake water 2.0 Pro /not the performer or extreme The Pro has a block like the 920 anyway I bought the Corsair because it was supposedly the best after the Pro Big mistake staying far away from Corsair coolers
Nice temps again mate
I've had no experience with the H80i so don't know if you had a bit of a dud or thats just how they perform It was pretty grim in comparrison though enit.
I'll still stick with Corsair though untill they fail me

Nice one Solar, I keep looking at you testing the coolers out, now one thing to bear in mind like I said before, things seem to heat up for me quickly after 4.6GHz, it runs great at 4.6 and most people I know run a daily of 4.5-4.6 on Ivy, maybe you should be doing your testing at 4.5 or 4.6 with a bit less voltage?
I have attached a pic of a run I just did on IBT, room temp at the moment 20-25C. It hit 79C on the hottest core but I don't consider that to be particularly hot for Ivy especially seeing as it's IBT.
Tommy with all these changes I demand pictures in "Show us your Rig" come on set the OC down for a bit and let the paste break in, get out the camera and set it for close up and snap away !

Yea I should drop the Oc but did read about it not really making a big impact and since letting the paste cure I noticed a big change my hottest core was 79c for 4.7 ghz from being 86c
Reading the cheat sheet Steve and Kelly gave me the voltage I am using is for getting 4.5 to 4.6 stable
also here in my room pretty toasty been about 90 degrees outside feels like a 100.0 inside trying to live without AC :) Summer makes the Electric Company Very Rich
@Allen I'll get some pics up soon just need a better Cam then my phone have to ask wife where it's stashed
