They do have the maximus boards, so they get the maximus OC's. They have set the bar high for sure.

I think I can speak for most of us on the top spots Solar when I say that we use software when in Windows to go for the heavy OC's, I use Asus Turbo V evo, I could never have got my OC validated booting into Windows.
This is the secret, I can't boot mine with BIOS-set OC of more than 4700, sometimes 4800.
I can roll with 5.1GHz from the bios, but any more it needs to be done inside windows.
Maybe I should try this "Secret", I've have always only OC'ed from in BIOS.

Yeah in Bios I am walled at 5,2 @ 1.5 volts

But with the software it's much easier and it goes back after reboot

    Hey now guys...

No cheating turning HT and cores off...

I could very easily do that myself, but who wants to be "that guy?" I got my 6 core/12 thread CPU for a reason. (To use it.)

Maybe we should base the leaderboard on clock rate × threads...
Wrend, I think you might have misunderstood this thread, the purpose of this thread has always been the same, to post the highest speed by any means possible. This is not about 24/7 daily overclocks, we have the "post your overclock" thread for that.
