    Can you stat more information
In my system specs I wrote my motherboard was a AMD680GM-M2, I was wrong, it is a ECS AMD690GM-M2, sorry about that! In the article at this link (ECS AMD690GM-M2 Motherboard Review | Hardware Secrets) it states that my MB can be overclocked, can someone help me out here?
If you google overclocking you well find a lot of tech articles and several overclocking forums. Spend some times reading all points of view. Keep in mind OC'ing can shorten the lifespan of equipment, mostly because of additional heat. Extra cooling is a must.

There is a satisfaction in getting free performance from your system by overclocking, but don't expect to see a big difference. 10-15% can be achieved without a great expenditure on custom cooling equipment, it's not that noticeable.

My XP box is almost ten years old and it was middle of the road equipment when I assembled it. Today I can find that old equipment, top of the line, for pennies on the dollar. It's a very inexpensive and fun project. It's a secondary system so if I screw the pooch, no big deal.
I fully agree! It's fun piecing together a system from "hand me downs" and/or Craigslist finds and making it perform for a fraction of the cost of a new system! I wish had $2k or $3k in my back pocket to slap down on a new system but I'm just a working stiff trying to keep my head above water! Some people say "JUST" go buy this, "JUST" go buy that, it's easier for some than others!

Exactly, doing more with less is a great feeling.
