Would this mobo handle this kind of ram?

I would not recommend putting that ram in that motherboard. The ram kit you linked to is a triple channel kit.
You want a dual channel regular kit, this in your case would be either 4x4GB or 2x4GB depending on how much ram you want.

The problem is, if you use 3 sticks in the motherboard the ram will not be running in triple channel mode and more importantly it will not be running in dual channel mode, dual channel mode give much greater performance.
With 3 sticks in you will essentially be running in single channel mode which is pretty old school and does not perform very well.
I doubt your motherboard supports 2X8GB sticks so my recommendation would be to buy a nice set of 2X4GB sticks. If you need more then I would suggest buying a new motherboard, one to replace what you already have would be very cheap, especially compared to the price of the ram you have listed in your first post.

Essentially yes, it will perform worse than what you have now. You will just have more ram.

I have also personally tested this on quite a few ram sets and ran benchmarks which showed the performance difference from single channel to dual channel. You can forget about running in triple channel mode as your motherboard does not support this. Triple channel motherboards have 6 ram slots.

Along with Paul's great information I would like to add this.

The first thing I recommend is reading the motherboard manual. It's your computer bible.
Now some basics.
Your motherboard is designed for DDR-3 ram in duel channel. It will only except DDR-3 ram. If installed as per motherboard manual you will be using DDR-3 ram in a dual channel configuration.
You should install 2 or 4 sticks of ram as per the motherboard manual.
If like you state you have a bad ram slot then you need a new motherboard. No motherboard will allow you to install anything you want just Willy Nilly and work properly if at all.
**What makes you think you have a bad ram slot on your motherboard??
Your next step before buying anything or doing anything is read and understand your motherboard manual. If you have a desire for more information on single,dual, or triple channel motherboards just Google it. Their are thousands of articles on the web.

I had a look at the QVL for your motherboard and to be honest it's not very useful and very outdated.

I would say most kits should work, they have G.Skill listed, Kingston and Corsair and although there won't be a 100% chance they will work, they should be fine.

You could probably go with a 2X4 GB Dual channel kit of the same stuff you listed in your first post.
It says your Motherboard supports up to 1600MHz ram but it may only run at 1333MHz depending on how you can set it in your bios. I am not too good with AMD sorry.
