need to loose the DVD drive!! it ruins the air 540's look!! i ditched my drive when i got mine! never used it anywho

Well there is always an external that you could hook up Via USB

That's so darn slow, you could put a disk in and go grab a beer before the computer even knew there was a disk was in it. I know, because I use one - when I am forced to.

I think it looks fine, I have two, in two systems, don't know why, but I like it.

I second that Steve I'm not to fond of many USB products they seem to drag along till it opens

I must be lucky. I have an LG portable that can find a CD as fast as the LG internal BD ROM/DVD/CD combo in my desktop rig. File transfers are slower but not unreasonably so.

Have you tried to Rip or Burn Video with it that is where it will kill itself lol

It will struggle to feed into the Disk
