I don't hate MSI it's just my needs weren't met when using it
Perfectly fine for my Poppa but for me i needed that control that ASUS so Generously gives to us
It was much more difficult to get a good OC on MSI due to needing their Control Center App to get where you want to be that wasn't Kosher with me but the people who dare to run it that way more power too them
Military Class is the reason why i selected that Board but how often does Military components catch fire under stress unless on purpose![]()
I'll have to check Gary's pic's again. I like the case not sure I'm changing my stryker anytime soon. But I'm getting the urge to build the kill mini itx build, I already have a killer 8 core sitting idle, maybe that will force me to sell? This next build upgrade thing has become a illness which requires regular medication almost like what I can imagine a junkie needing a fix !
Dude that Z87 MSI board is top flight as you know. Seems everyone has stories about brands. I'm shocked that of the two brands and multiple mobo's I've built around they all have worked great once bios updated or not. I'm looking forward to building a mini itx rig around a new ASUS and this will be my first. All that I'm hearing negative about the mini itx is heat on the board as it has so much going on in a super compact area.
That is always scary. My worst was when my psu went up in smoke. I also blew out the open box motherboard when I ran it hard. It didn't make a pop, just died. i was lucky it didn't take my CPU with it. I play with the control center occasionally now, but have found that setting everything in the bios is better. I never reached my OC goal but can run 5GHZ like a champ directly from my bios now.
I tend to get reckless now and then, but I enjoy doing it![]()
