    I'm on the laptop now as I decided to put the whole 'puter in the oven on low so I can rework all of the cables at once.
    AMD doesn't have a max temp listed for a FX-8350 but from looking through several forum they say it throttles at only 70C, or 158F. Plastic pieces can melt, metal panels can distort.
    incorrect it is 62c people who go above that damage the chips where they don't perform as well

    What is not right? AMD has no max temp listed and the forums I referred to, say what is in the snip you posted regarding 70C in a different way.
