This is not a deal of the day, but I just came across this cooler and it looks pretty good, I may just get one.

Hopefully this has been torture tested for failure. My concern is what if one fan fails. Also for my taste looks too industrial with all the hosing but for 89.00 could be worth the risk.
You`re right about that Alan, it looks like it should be at the bottom of a refrigerator and not in a computer.
It has a 3 year warranty so if a fan died, I`m sure you would just RMA it for a new one. That is if they`re still around in 3 years.
Yeah I'm not a fan of the design either. Looks a little too weird. And I see it's going for $119 which is up there in Corsair H100i land so it'd better outperform it by a good margin. Seems you're also stuck with the proprietary??? fans
To be honest we won't know anything until we see head to head comparisons to see how good it is. If it performs really well, especially against Corsair and Cooler Master's similar designs, than it'll move, it not....
And I do think the killer might be the fact that you can't replace fans, especially if there's fan noise to consider.
Anyway I've not looked at or looked to see if there are actual comparisons out there so...
As for the failure rate, meh.... they all say that. For me, after 2, maybe 3 years, my closed-loop is getting cooler replaced.
Many companies make "claims" so I wouldn't just bust Antec for that.
Corsair "claims" to support their items, yet we're still stuck with waiting for the Windows 8.1 supported Link software for their H100i. Yeah, they'll eventually put it out, but when?
Anyway it's not just Antec that makes claims.
