I was just wondering what's so special about them. Someone said there was a write-up about them in Maximum PC. I'm always interested in cable, thus my question.

The link helped. I see they're just real thin and low profile. OK.

    Thanks.

i want them so bad! they look so neat, especially as the cable comes out the side, will dramatically increase air flow over the top of them.

    Here you go Adam. SIlverstone CP11 Ultra Thin 30cm SATA 3 6Gb/s Certified Cable 90 Degree Angled - SST-CP11 - Scan.co.uk

There may be more vendors in the UK, I stopped looking after I found this one.

Alan, do you think they would fit side-by-side on a board with 90° connectors? From their pics it doesn't look like it.

Gary look close at my picture above and that's two of them in a row with a conventional sata on the end with one port free.

Right, but your ports are 180°, not 90° as in the pics I posted.

Correct and this is a huge help for sata ports as are mine on the mini-ITX but a normal ATX with ports on there sides likely not so much, but to be honest I haven't tried that layout. Used on the end row of course would be perfect but these in a row......maybe?

Maybe I'm missing something but other than the Silverstone's being ultra thin, what's the other advantage?

You can get standard SATA cables with 90 degree angles. In fact most motherboards today come with a set of both straight and 90 ones.
