Ceton InfiniTV 6 ETH Ethernet Tuner 5304 -DCT06EX-E - Micro Center

ElGato EyeTV HD 0021040 - Micro Center

All USB connections and some composite and S-video connections this would be the top of the line for what you are looking for but no HDMI just S-video or Composite those would be your best performers

madcratebuilder i love the technical aptitude of the raspberry but how in the hell do you install it into a PC chassis would it require its own chassis or what?

I think a cheap ps3 would be better for everything you want to do. They are coming down in price now, no need for ps4.

An older XBox would work, would it not? And it would still be compatible with Media Center. They're pretty cheap these days.

To add to the mentions of using consoles for media streaming, unless you use a 3rd party program some files wont work on the consoles o.O
something like this PS3 Media Server < though if run incorrectly it can cook your computer XD so cpu intensive.
Also some hd set top boxes or boxes from Telstra like the TBOX can stream media from pcs.
