Tommy, trials aren't too bad, but the errors can get very expensive. Trust me, I know.

    Doug, don't say blaze.

Paul when you do the maniac runs do you first set a manual voltage in BIOS then use TurboV?

    I do Yes.
I set the voltage, then turn off speedstep and off I go with Turbo v

So do you still use the offset setting or is that changed to manual voltage ?

When I do the Bios overclocking i set manual voltage first time I disabled Hyperthreading left speedstep on

Second time I left everything on except offset and applied fixed voltages does that sound about right to you ?

Changing to manual voltage gets rid of the offset mode, the 2 choices are either Manual or Offset mode.

So when I want to use TurboV in Windows I change to manual voltage, set it to what I know is right for my regular 4.6GHz OC (1.248v) then I turn off Speedstep as I don't want it to step down to 1.6GHz while I am running 1.248v and then I boot into Windows and fire up TurboV, I then use that to adjust Voltage and speed for the Validation runs.

What's wrong with this picture. It's a new Z77-WS board.

I'm on my phone app right now, so its hard to see. I do see that the label wording is a little funny. I'll look again when I'm back at my rig to see if I'm missing something.

I just want to make sure I am still doing the right way I never used the offset for the higher overclocks I figure it's no point when you are just trying to bench real fast
