Shouldn't this thread be in the benchmarks sub forum?

    No, it's not a benchmark.

Welcome to the Zoo Green Zone. Very well done, Cranky. Don't worry about Bill, he's just jealous that he has a little common sense left. We've lost all ours. So, you are no longer Crankypenguin, you are now and forevermore to be known as Crazypenguin. You've earned it. Wear it proudly. Congrats on the overclock. You sure worked for it. You've come a long way in a short time.

Does anyone think I should dare to overclock my 6 year old Core 2 Quad with stock cooler?

I seriously doubt it. But, I usually throw the stock cooler in the garbage. I have used a couple for bench testing just to make sure the computer would run. But, I would never overclock anything with one. I know there are people who disagree, but not very many. Only 1 I know of. But, I won't mention Dude by name.
