Thanks Guys. I am going to have a little bit more of a fiddle and see how high it will go over the next few days.

She will not last a full boot @ 4.8Ghz, she got to windows at 4.6 Ghz and BSOD before I could do anything and then refused to boot much further than the splash screen. She likes 4.4Ghz just fine. That is 900Mhz over stock by someone who would be dangerous if they knew what they are doing. I shall put it back to 4GHZ where it runs all the time without getting hot.

Looking good Indianatone. To get more needs more volts which equals higher temps.

Don't you just hate that? We need a 6 GHz CPU on stock voltage.

I have a 965 BE that I am more inclined to risk more than one of my main rigs. I'll see what I can get out of that but I am not going to fool around with my 2 main FX machines in a sucide run. I don't have the cash. My next SSD went vaporised to the future when my car needed $400 worth of control arm bushing and sway bar link this week. I don't hardly drive the thing, Tammy drives them both in rotation, I sit at home and fiddle, tinker and tweak. :)
