whats weird tho that i noticed when i play skyrim with a crap load of graphic mods, im only getting about 60FPS but the gpu ussage is only at 60% max. it dosent go up to 100%...... any ideas on this? idk if my last one did this....
i dont think so..... some guy who reviewed it said that the switch was on bios 2 (mine was too. i switched it back to 1) and his computer wouldent boot because it was saying that there was no GPU installed. he switch it to bios 1 and it booted fine. so i think bios 2 is empty. when i get home ill switch it to 2 and see if it boots. maybe thats why its running 30mhz slower than advertised......
Solar, how do you mod the bios to a higher core and memory clock and maybe voltage? then flash that bios to number 1 or 2?

Well I don't know what that guy is smoking because both of my cards are running on the second bios and not number 1 because one of my cards when I got it back from visiontek didn't take the bios flash on one like my other one did so I had to switch them both to stock bios on number 2
Now your particular card I wouldn't fool around with that yet unless AMD releases something to up your card
I don't think they will even go there like they did with the 7970 because they totally F'upped that one seriously
People like me got the cards the first two weeks and then they release GHZ ed like wtf
and to add insult to injury they wouldn't upgrade it like they should
Anyway I don't think you need to fool with the Bios anyway there is no gain if you already have the second top card I don't think any flashing will gain any performance right now anyway
I agree, don't mess with the bios. You can play with some overclocking but it's early in the life of the card to mess with the bios.
Ya. I wasn't planing on it I just wanted to learn how to do it. I'm not even OCing rite now... Lol I have to reason to. Its fast enough. but I learned that I Have to install MSI gaming app to get the extra 30mhz. I also found another BIOS on tech power up. I may try flashing that one. It says it has some fixes with VRM overhearing and such. I'll look into it more when I get back to my PC and see what version I have on. Etc.
With that whining, I'll see how it goes in the next few months. If it still happens I'll contact MSI for a replacement.
After searching and searching I found a bios I could flash my card to the correct way and yay it works now I am going to work some Afterburner settings
