I hope that was a joke Noober! You do know I bought a 780 and a 290X last week and did extensive testing on both. The 780 won in 3 out of 4 benchmarks at stock and overclocked. If the ti don't beat it then they are going backwards!

If I remember correctly, I read the Ti is supposed to be somehwere between a Titan and a 690, something to that affect.

I found this - GeForce GTX 780 Ti Beats GTX Titan and AMD Radeon R9 290X in Benchmarks I am not sure what to make of it though as my version of the 780 seems to beat the Titan in pretty much everything I have looked at. The 290X does not look so great in that chart though and that pretty much sums up why I sent it back over the 780 apart from the sheer volume of the thing too.

I think the 780ti is supposed to be a fair bit more expensive than the 290X and 780 too which if it's only an overclock apart won't really appeal to many.

I can whole heartedly confirm that lol. I have never heard anything like it and it was blowing hot air out of the back of my case like a hair dryer would. It shocked me really.

if they lowered the price to $450, the 290x will be awesome! but yea I think its very expansive....

Not to want to disagree with you, but I thought the 290X was priced great, so great it made Nvidia drop the prices of the 780, I can't deny both cards are now absolute power houses for the money, they are very close in performance, apart from benchmarking you would not no any different, gaming I expect them to trade blows. The heat and noise from the 290X is unacceptable however, and as I said before, maybe with a non ref design they will bring the temps down and no doubt noise too and then it will be a fantastic card. But for me right now if I was to recommend a card to anyone I know then it would have to be the 780. It's the smart move.
