It only hit 80c at OCCT.. It never gets that high.. Max at gaming is +-70c.
I dont think I put too much paste, but Im not sure about how I installed it.. seems right but took me way too much time to do that (noob). Didn't lift the cooler after I pushed it on the CPU with the paste or something..

I kinda want to verify that my CPU is cloackable.. The guides seem weird, can you verify it for me? Also as a noob in CPU OC, If you could just explain about it in the simplest way. Not too much. Just basic. Ill get it..

My cooler is Scythe Grand Kama Cross.
OC OCing that CPU is hard and complex. since you don't know much about OCing I would not do it. that CPU has a locked multiplier which means that it CANT be OC eaisily. also if you are on stock cooling and your MOBO is not good enough for it, you could run into some problems.

so I would leave it alone.

    as for the GPU:
Proper way to apply thermal paste to a gpu - YouTube

aply it like that except use about half that amount.
This CPU has a turbo speed of 3.6GHZ instead of 3.2GHZ normal. I heared I can lock it to turbo.. Is it usefull or does my CPU already use turbo when Im gaming?

I just wrote you what cooler I have. It's not stock. Also you can see my MOBO at system specs.

About the GPU, I really prefer not to do that. The temps are fine as well as I know, for the GTX460.

    Appreciate the help.
ok, if you are willing to OC your CPU, and risk destroying it and maybe even other parts, that's your choice. either way I don't know how to OC intel with locked multiplyers. someone else could jump in on that.

for your GPU, it is running hot. IMO too hot. again if you want to OC more on it, u risk damaging it. at least turn up the fan speed to 50-70% in MSI after burner.

OCing your RAM will NOT gain you any addition performance so its kinda useless.

the FPS you are getting is about normal for bf3 bf4 at 1080p

you can try to upgrade your gpu to something better.

you CPU will NOT run in max turbo if the usage is high. playing bf3, bf4, it will turbo up to 3.4 or so. but yes it will be running in turbo.

IMO upgrade your GPU to a GTX 760 for better performance.

To the contrary he doesn't need to OC his CPU it will beat out a few chips that are from AMD on stock

His issue is lack of Vram If he had a 2GB card that would help a great deal

He is lucky the 460 1gb is doing what it is old card and really pushing the limits he needs a better gpu

Alright Ill wait for other comments about the CPU.

About the GPU it's not running hot. Runs just about right and with 800MHZ hits 70max on BF3. What's hot about that? Normal by google.
The fan speed is automatic and it will get by it's own to like 60-70%.

And I can't afford myself a new GPU, so...

    Thanks for the help anyways.

I didn't really understand anything you wrote lol..

Are you talking about a 2GB GPU?

What did you try to say on the last line?

ok 70c is fine. oc more on it, just keep it below 80c. maybe kick the fans up higher

for your CPU, honestly i wouldent even bother.

Yes he means a GPU with 2gb vram. You have a good cpu, and good ram, you need a better video card. As far as overclocking your cpu it is possible but but only for another 4-6 hundred mhz. OCing your ram and cpu will have minimal gains for you. The gpu is what you need to upgrade

Were you cynical about the GPU part?
If not, then how big of a difference will like 50MHZ max do? Worth even trying?

About the CPU, why? Would help the performace because of a bottleneck with me GPU?

The temps are fine, noober was not cynical. You want to play BF4 or BF3, your video card is 2 generations below the recommended requirements.

no I was not. you said it was hitting 81C and I did not want you to burn out your GPU.

50MHZ will give maybe 3fps max.

OC the card as much as possible while keeping it stable and below 80c.

1gb vram is not enough for bf3 or 4. you need at least 2. on max settings in bf3, ive used over 2gb of Vram. play on 1600x900 or 1280x720 res

Your Graphics card is too old too handle what you are throwing at it

if this was 4 years ago then yes it would be awesome card

Anyways VRAM is the ram the Video card holds and you only have 1gb even in SLI you might gain another 25 frames if any

I would look into a quality 3GB card 2GB is ok but 3GB's will do you good for a long while

If you looking for a nice budget card give us how much you can pay and we will cook up something good

I see you run Nvidia is that your preference ?

    some cards to consider:

    Budget:
    gtx 660
    gtx 660Ti
    radeon 7950
    r9 270x

    less budget cards:
    gtx 760
    7990
    r9 280x
