    What Intel Batch Numbers Mean In This Thread


    Example: L149A463-0726

    1st letter or digit = plant code (Malay)
    0 = San Jose, Costa Rica
    1 = Cavite, Philippines
    3 = .............., Costa Rica
    6 = Chandler, Arizona
    7 = .........., Philippines
    8 = Leixlip, Ireland
    9 = Penang, Malaysia
    L = ............, Malaysia
    Q = ..........., Malaysia
    R = Manila, Philippines
    Y = Leixlip, Ireland

    2nd digit = Year of production (2001)

    3rd & 4th digits = week (49th week )

    5th - 8th digits= lot number

    10th - 13th digits = serialization code

    Mine is L316B295

    L-Malaysia
    3-2003
    16week-April
    and so fourth

    What CPU are you looking at that has that particular number (L316B295)?

    That one there is mine L316B295 and by the looks people have had poor OCs with it when looking the higher the very end numbers look to be the better clockers mostly i could be wrong

    Then the year would be 2013 instead of 2003 if that is a Haswell CPU. Also, if I remember correctly, you are running it at 4.6GHz. Is it stable? If it is, I'd say you are in the top 25% of better Haswell CPU's. The biggest group will hit about 4.2-4.3GHz, some will get 4.4-4.5GHz and a small percentage will get higher than that.

    3 means 2003

    and mines stable

    I guarantee your Intel Haswell CPU was not made in 2003

    It also indicates my 3770K was made in 2003, I think that's wrong too. It may be a designation of just the last digit in the year, 2013.

    That's how it works I think. They use a number system from 0-9.......so 2011 would be 1, 2013 would be 3, etc.
