    fans on NB


    what up guys?

    so the only component in my rig tht gets hot is the NB. and that's because my massive GPU is blocking any moving air to it. so how do u attach a fan to the NB? do u guys have pics? I have a nice fan to use, but yea still.

    nvm. double sided tape worked wonders. lol. now comes phase 2. moding my side window and taking off that fan completely

    I've used this Antec spot fan and like it for both Ram and Mobo cooling.

    I add chipset coolers to my boards, good ones run under $20. Small, quiet and they keep the nb under 50C. You may need a very low profile cooler to clear the video card. Enzotech makes a very low profile unit as does Titan. If you the room this Titan is a nice one.

    ok, my double sided tape dident like the heat. any other ideas to keep it on the heat sink?

    nvm. I was able to screw It into the HS. finally. no more fans falling off and making noises! lol scared me when it happened!

    Can you show us a pic how you screwed it into the heatsink. I too have this issue of a toasty NB.

    i just used a flat blade to pry the heatsink appart a tad, and just found a screw that fit between and through the fan holes.

    quite honestly don't know. its incredibly small. I just had it laying around. it dosent even cover the entire HS

I have got a pc tower which only has a fan up at the top and at the back????????? The psu is up near the top as well. My mates used to have the back set as intake and the top as exhaust and got better temps, i tried it and the temps are in the 38% and hwen i ran a couple of programs i ened up...
