Cheap cooler for AMD FX 8350 for 100% load for about an hour?

Hi im upgrading my desktop, I will soon get a GTX 660 from asus
A 1TB SSHD from barracuda and a Fractal Design R4
Fractal Design Define R4 with Window Black Pearl Silent ATX Mid Tower Case - Newegg.com

And later when i get the money i will get a upgrade pack with 8GB RAM a Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P MOBO
    And A AMD FX 8350,
But i heard people say the stock cooler for the CPU is not good enough for high loads. And i will render videos and stuff in sony vegas 12 with about 100% workload on the cpu for pretty long periods and i whant the computer to be quiet and cool under that workload. so what cooler do you recommend? I dont have tons of money so i can afford like a H100I i only have a cooler budget at around 500 kr wich is converted to about 80$
Keep in mind that swedish prices are higher thas us prices and it costs a TON to ship it to sweden..

And a little side question.. i could add like 200Kr wich is like 30$ to get 16GB RAM 8x2, Will i ever need that extra ram for Sony Vegas 12?

You don't need a H100I if your not overclocking hard Antec620 khuler should fit your budget and does well with a 8350 i should know because i have one

Amazon.com : Antec Kuhler H2O 620 Liquid CPU Cooler System : Desktop Computer Fans : Electronics

You can also save the extra money and get 1866 ram which is best for that chip 16gb should be plenty for Sony Vegas you will use maybe 8gb max

okey... The thing here though is that im getting a upgrade pack from a store in sweden for a special price with the ram and with the specific ram and cpu, but this upgrade pack am i going to afford sooner in the summer when i can work and get money, So there may be another cooler out then, but i will check that cooler out, but i will probably buy a nocuta and put on it becouse imm very very into having a quiet computer

That's fine i always recommend putting aftermarket fans

You are set to go then if everything is coming in a package best to go with that deal but the khuler i showed you should knock $30-40 off your budget to make room for other stuff like the fans you mentioned

I must tell you though it 's best to get corsair static pressure fans it produces more air flow and there are quiet versions

Since it is in a upgrade pack I'd got the 16GB RAM package, you can't buy 8GB as cheap as that.

    Nonsense.
I have run Folding@Home 24/7/365 on nothing but stock OEM heatsinks and fans since 2004. The load on the CPU is typically 100% on all cores.
One example is my present AMD Athlon II X4 640. Even on the hottest and most humid summer days where the temp in the room has gone up to 35°c, the CPU according to CoreTemp and HWMonitor has never gone above 55°c.

You don't have an FX-8350. They get hot. I wouldn't run one at 100% for any length of time on a stock cooler. Most stock coolers are woefully underrated for anything other than casual use, in my experience.

Your Athlon is a 95W TDP processor, it's going to run cooler. The 8350 is a 125W TDP processor. That's a 30 Watt difference under moderate load. It makes a big difference.

Folding@Home isn't a very stressful program while Sony Vegas, or most any video editor, is quite stressful. It's also a Distributed Computing program which, I would assume, isn't active 100% of the time.

Here's an example of different CPU stress levels. I can run Prime95 for 30 minutes and my temp will stabilize 70C-76C across 4 core/8 threads, it will run as long as I want to test. I can run Intel Burn Test and the temp will max at 89C within 2-3 seconds, but both tests will pass indicating a stable overclock.

I can use Handbrake, a free video editor, and can get a BSOD at times and making the CPU temps run in the 75C range. My point is there are different stress levels at 100% CPU load, heck running the winsat mem test will get a 100% load but barely increase temps.

I say all this to explain why I've never used a stock CPU cooler in any PC I've built. I think AMD's coolers are better than the tiny ones Intel, which even on the high-end i7-3770K is an aluminum block with cut fins, AMD 's have heat pipes. One more factor is the noise of a stock cooling fan. They are typically only 60mm-80mm so must spin up to 4000-5000RPM at high temps which sound like a small jet turbine spinning up.

Yeah, invest in an after market cooler, I think it would be some of the best money spent second only to a quality power supply.

that is a very goon choice, I'm using one on a i5-2500K, works well with overclocking.
