When i bought mine it was $320. At one point they were at $600. I tried to sell mine for a 780 but no one bought. You can thank bitcoin mining for that.

Technically it's not BTC mining, it's Litecoin mining. It's a different process, script vs sha256. It's going to get worse before it gets better. With Mt Gox going under a LOT of miners are switching to LTC's.

Six months ago I bought a pair of 7950's to mine ltc's, one died last month and Sapphire replaced it with a 7970 I'm rooting for the other 7950 to die.

Yeah i got some good coin for my pair of 7970'S I might have lost a little performance but the issues with Crossfire had turned me off

i got 365.00 for the oldest card and 325.00 for the newer one go figure and i got my GTX 780 TI on sale paid 777.00 so i was only out of a little cash but still didn't kill my wallet when i pulled the Trigger

things might balance out soon when the new nvidia cards hit the stores. the new 750ti has their latest architecture which is suposed to be more mining friendly, for us that means competition for amd.. so prices in a whole should come down.

im more than happy with my 770 and dont plan to do any mining.. maybe another 770 in a few months which will give me an excuse to buy a 3rd monitor..
