Issues with RAID and AHCI Solved
So when I first got my SSD I set my motherboard from IDE or AHCI. For a while it ran great. However, now I want to start experimenting with RAID. I picked up a few drives and they are all recognized. However, now I cannot switch from AHCI to RAID on that specific setting without my windows installation not booting.
Motherboard is a gigabyte ep45-ud3r with an ICH10R southbridge. It does have an onboard SATA controller...I was tempted on booting off of that and seeing where that takes me.
Any advice? I'll update the thread with actual names of the setting.
The AHCI IDE and RAID options are all under the ICH SATA option.
I think I may have found the solution to why it does this.

I may throw the SSD on the 3rd party controller for now until I can re-install.
