The QVL list is meaningless in reality, it's a very short list of memory that has been tested. The m2a1600c8 runs on both Intel and AMD boards from ASUS. ASRock and GA with many users OC'ing successfully. It's one of the more popular sticks with the air cool crowd because of the low profile.

When I bought the ram I checked QVL , obviously I didnt look closely enough .
As mentioned, the QVL only covers a bare fraction of tested modules so it shouldn't be taken as gospel - although every now and then some kits do need a BIOS update to work properly (originally my kit that wasn't QVL wouldn't run at it's full rated speed)

Do you think setting the DRam Volts will add a little more performance?
Only if you're trying to tighten timings further/run at a higer mhz and that's not always a guarantee. That depends on the individual modules "binning" or capability.

Since it's now running rated speeds @ 1.5v, I'd leave it as is. Upping the volts at the current timings won't improve your speed. In a rough generalization, more volts equals more stability at out of spec settings.

The latest BIOS is not always the best, it depends on the sum of the parts.
