    Great looking setup Lava King

Yesterday I finally bought one of these the ASUS GTX 970 STRIX OC 4GB 3.5GB cost me $500 I know I know but the GTX 980 cost over $700+ here and yes that's the price I had to pay for the shipping, taxes and stuff to Pakistan anyways this is something we can't do much about it...

Previously I used the GALAX GTX 970 EXOC BLACK EDITION for couple of days which I sent back for replacement and had trouble with the online store and I opted out for full refund. The Galax card was nicely built but honestly it wasn't even near to the build quality of this card!! and trust me it is a very big card just take a look at the back I/O plate and you will have the idea.. it's almost 11" and something like this long...
That is a sweet looking card!

What is going on with your case? Did the case come with an offset drive cage (inside the blue circle) to accommodate longer cards or is that a mod you did?

Btw, I totally cracked up when this finally soaked into my two remaining brain cells:

Thanks Dude, paulpicks21, Indianatone and Lady Fitzgerald

    @ Jeannie

No it's not modded the case came with this option to accommodate longer cards and to install SSD drives unfortunately I haven't bought any SSD There are also HDD slider clips included with it for all drive slots for HDD and SSD/Laptop Drives which you can simply attach on the side of the drive and slide them in

Hehehe all that anger on Nvidia for 3.5 + 0.5gb

P.S. don't mind the 6+2pin cable hanging on the side of the cage with bendable tie hehe anyways here is the side of my case... oh I'm not sure but I think that this cage can be completely taken off to install ridiculously long cards like the Gigabyte's Windforce!

Thanks for the info; curious design.

You do realize your next upgrade simply has to be an SSD? Adding an SSD to a rig is an upgrade that gives you the best bang for your buck (sorry, I couldn't alliterate rupee ).

Oh yes I was wondering same I have to get it on my next upgrade! should really get 1 of 120gb.. my eye is on Samsung Evo 840 series hehe worry not everytime I go online for PC parts or to any shops the dollar figures are running in my brains ...
You may want to rethink the 840 EVOs. Even with the recent fix, many are still experiencing slowdowns. I would look at the 850s, either Pro or EVO. Or, if those dollar figures are overwhelming (been there), even the 840 Pros (if you can find them and speculators haven't driven up the price yet) would be a better choice than the 840 EVOs.

OH thanks for the info.. I didn't know about it and never used any SSD before.. I don't know if the 850 will be available here anytime soon also the Samsung SSD's are quiet expensive here compared to others like Kingston, Corsair etc. Intel series are easily available here as Intel is officially here in PK too.. they are as the same price as the Samsungs are so what do you suggest I should go for in 120gb? I'll be using that SSD only for OS purpose

The only SSDs I've owned are Samsungs so guess what I recommend? All seriousness aside, check user reviews on sites like Newegg to see if any have been having any problems or not. Just stay a way from Sandisk; I had a bad experience with them several years ago when they jumped through hoops to weasel out of honoring a warranty on a camera card (it wasn't so much the fact they refused to warrant the card, which may have been counterfeit, as it was they way they did it that ticked me off).

I think I knew that coming.. ok I will start looking into the user reviews on Newegg and will also see the availability of Samsung SSD's. Aaah I think I'm already aware of SSD performances from Kingston, Sandisk and many more only the solid one's in Performance on read/write are Intel and Samsung well Samsung tops the list of course

I actually forgot the name of the website that shows SSD's comparisons on paper head to head.. anyways this month pockets are empty as you already know spent $560 on 1TB HDD and GPU so it's safe to say me would have to wait till next month before me jump in for SSD
