I don't know how I missed the 6800K. Much better choice. Thanks Steve.

I'm thinking because of the good luck I have had with EVGA video cards I will go with this instead of the Asus video card.
The color will go well with my system also. I'm not a gamer so it should be more than enough.

For all the new readers, this thread will show how difficult picking the proper hardware is.
Even with all the help members have given me it takes many, many hours, hell it takes days.

As always I'm open to suggestions.

Jack, in all honesty, the GTX 1070 is a pretty darn strong gaming card. Although, price/performance, it may be the best buy you can make, in my opinion. But, you could save a few bucks by getting a lesser card. If you don't do any gaming or graphics work, I may look at a 1050 TI or a 1060. Any of those cards should run well in that rig.

I suggest also going with an EVGA PSU, an 850 will be more then enough, but if you`re set on it then get a 1000 watt.

And compare this card with the one you picked out, this is what EVGA is calling the Black Edition, all the specs are the same and it`s a bit cheaper and it looks sweet.

I`d say to go directly through EVGA, but they haven`t had stock on any 10 series card since they came out, I just don`t understand them.

I was some what worried that the cpu could not handle the 2666 speed ram.
Intel list it a 2400. Then again I have always put faster the Intel specs in my system with no problem.

I will give that ram a chance and change my order.
I buy all my hardware from my local dealer. He delivers and will do business with cash.

The black edition doesn't match my color scheme quiet as well.

Intel is not allowed to list faster speed memory in their specs, that cpu and board could run 3200 MHz no problem.

Tommy runs 3200 with his 6700K no problem, and I run mine at 2800 no problems.

And you do not have to run it at 2666 if you don`t want to. Unless you enable XMP, it will run at 2133. It will have 2 XMP profiles on it, 2666 and 2800 and with the board and cpu you`re getting you won`t have any problems with memory.

I never use XMP.
I noticed the ram volts are lower on the 2666 than the 2400 and that should be good.

There is a big difference between a 2011 socket and a 1151 socket.

I see that Steve is using 2800 ram on a 5930 (2011 socket)

The difference between 2800 ram and 2666 would be very slight but worth thinking about.
