    Hi,
Looks as though he likes to rent an os :)
It does have the most ways to restrict MS from doing a lot of it's questionable practices that ilk most people but you pay yearly for those features instead of one payment like any prior os has been to normal people oem/ retail.

That's exactly why I have it... free. If I was going to buy it, I would get Pro. I really don't know about any yearly fees, but Pro will do most anything you need to do.

Thank you Steve for your opinion.

I'm having fun installing Windows 7 Pro again. Once again I was dumb. I tried Asus AI-Suite 3.
I figured that by now the suite would work properly.
All I did was install it, but I did not use it and it locked my computer in Safe Mode without the use of mouse or key board. Using the Windows 7 DVD and comd prompt and this forum I got out of safe mode and back to Normal boot. Still no mouse or keyboard.

The joy of building your own computer.

It's always something isn't it? Some systems will run AI Suite and never have a problem, some won't even run with it installed. One of those unanswerable questions I think. IRST is the same way for some, I have no idea why.

I loved AI Suite on their Z77 boards. It was very good and useful. The X99 AI Suite, I tried for about 10 minutes when I first built the rig and uninstalled it. Mike, the Chipset drivers are necessary and have nothing to do with AI Suite.
