I'm a desktop kinda guy the whole way, but as someone who works on PC's, Laptops are great for taking with you in certain circumstances. They have their uses just like any other device.

I use desktops, laptop, tablet and smartphone. They all have there place and perform functions that make them a good compliment in my personal and business environs. The issues I have is wanting to perform desktop and laptop functions on the tablet and smartphone which they clearly aren't set up for or perform well if all at.

Windows 10 Pro. 64/ version 1709 Windows 7 Pro/64

I have been tinkering with my Corsair 600t.

Remove all hard drive racks, Install 1 ssd and 1 hard drive in 5 1/4 bays using adapters.
Replace the front 200mm fan with a CoolerMaster MegaFlow 200mm.
Removed the top 200mm fan and replaced with two 120 Noctua fans.
Redid all the wiring harnesses and installed a fan hub.
Replace the H50 with a H80i

Now comes the dumb stuff.
I thought you all would enjoy a good laugh.

Wouldn't boot.
I checked all the connection and couldn't find a problem.
Made some coffee and when I came back to the computer room I saw the problem. It was on a little table; my ram.
I forgot to install the ram. DA X 10.
It booted and I wanted to catch up on all the updates of everything. Noticed things were slow.
More coffee and some more thinking.
Went into Disk Management and found that while checking all the connection I have swapped the sata cables and I was booting off of my backup on the hard drive. At least the back up works.
Swapped the cables back the way they should be and presto I'm fast again booting with the ssd.

Are you still laughing.

The H80i and the other things I done dropped cpu temps 10C. From idle to 100% load.
But I had to order some Noctua fans these Corsairs fans belong on a C-47. The fans are rudely noisy.

Are you still laughing.

All I have left to do after replacing the H80i fans is do a Repair Install.
I messed some things up when doing a Malwarebytes beta testing that sfc /scannow can't fix.
Things still works proper but I want things 100%.

Are you still laughing.

Win 7 Pro x64/Win 10 Pro x64 dual boot

Hey, when I just redid my case last weekend, I forgot to plug in the 8-pin 12V CPU power connector. I had to take my radiator and fans out to put it in. Still chuckling about that.

I am the first to admit that I'm silly.

Windows 10 Pro/ Windows 10 Pro Insider

I once built a computer and it wouldn't boot for anything. I even removed the motherboard, checked it and replaced it and it still wouldn't boot. After about 3 hours of troubleshooting, I found that I hadn't pushed the on switch on the power supply. Now, talking about dumb! My only excuse is that it was about 3 A.M. It was daylight before I finally found the 'problem', and the problem was me being a DA.
