Opened up my full tower yesterday to install my new to me Soundblaster FX card. Dropped it in with one slot separating my XFX GPU noticing a nice gap for cooling breath. tightening the side panels screws placed all my IO cabling back and powered on.

The driver disk was already in its tray and booted up with normal ease. Loaded all drivers and a rich detailed sound emanated from my speakers feed by premium amplification again fed by my DAC running the optical output from the new FX.

Life is good except for the scientific grade red laser which Creative choose for this card, someone tell me there's a dimmer switch built in somewhere?

Oh well there goes my cases blue theme and now I'm a wash with Blue, White, dancing Orange and Blue and now an angry Red glow.....a mish mash but it sounds good?

You might be able to darken the red glow by taking a Sharpie felt marker to the LED.

I moved the card and it's helped even if it doesn't show up in these pictures, so hard to steady camera free hand. "It's a Disco light show"
