It got so hot in here the other day.

So, I decided to improvise a bit. Since I couldn't put the other Corsair Air Series SP-120 fans inside my case, why don't I install it outside of it instead?

And I wish the CPU cooler wasn't a smidgen too big to begin with. Gonna have to cut a large window in the case and form it around so that it can fit, with space to put both my SP-120s. Now, what kind of material is best for making a side-panel window with?

Changed today my ordered Fan Controller Phobya Touch 6. Before i had the Kaze Master Flat (V1) w/4channels but i found it too weak on provided Watt, two channels were not initializing when powering the PC, cut-off by the loading compare to this Phobya one that have 30W per channels.

As i'm rearranging my Fans setup with 140mm...

It has pretty average settings but it does quite well. Unlikely the review up-there on "Cons" i do not have the feeling of having to push quite firmly the touch inputs. I found it quite reactive actually and far enough well build!

Added the 2TB WD Caviar Black I took out of my backup rig to my main rig over the weekend (fitted an SSD into the backup rig), mainly as an extra backup and to run VMs, and did a bit of extra cable management while I was in there. It will have improved airflow a lot and I noticed that only one of my two front fans were running. I changed the orientation of the top fan and wired them straight to the motherboard (no idea where they were wired before, I think they were into some sort of splitter, I didn't investigate too deeply) and temperatures are noticeably different, on my HDDs at least.

I'm toying with the idea of fitting an h80i with dual fan setup in exhaust at the position of the top fan at the back. Still on the fence with that one as if I did I know I'd just have to start messing with overclocking.

Thanks lads. I'm still not 100% happy with it but it's a lot better than it was. I had limited time really and my main objectives were to fit the Caviar Black and get the front fan working. I've got to get back in there as I noticed my GPU is getting a bit dusty and needs some attention so I'll have another crack at the wiring then.

I just got to thinking how nice an h80i would look in there. I don't think I really need one but it's playing on my mind now.

Nice rig...One question went to me regarding the H80i.

How does you set it up in Bios your "Q Fan" when using the "Corsair Link Dashboard" software? Are you gonna uninstall Asus AI Suite and set to standard (auto) the fans settings? Or only the one that will be used by Corsair software and keep Asus Ai Suite? Thanks!
