Sorry to hear of the break up Paul, but everything`s done for a reason
Thanks Brian, I am fine mate. Happier than ever actually lol.
Just been messing around with my monitor, tried it in portrait mode for the first time. It looks kind of stupid on the desk but it's pretty cool, I can see the whole SF Forum without having to scroll haha!
It was fun trying it out, I find at 2560x1440 there is a lot of wasted space on the forum and in wide mode it's just too wide. It doesn't bother me but it was pretty cool at 1440x2560.
Here are a couple of pics at both resolutions to show how much is displayed in a thread.
You could use either one big central monitor set to landscape then two smaller sided ones set in portrait mode...
I agree, unless I'm working a big spreadsheet, portrait mode isn't worth it. I prefer the scrolling function
Think I might have to attempt that with my 3 new monitors at some point. Not sure if I'll have enough space in my tiny flat at the moment though, but I will find out tomorrow...
My big brother did something similar many years back, don't remember the exact sizes (I was very young), but I think it was a 24" in landscape with a 17" in portrait on each side. Back then, and to a small kid, that kind of setup is pretty darn amazing hey!
