I go to 65-75c for a few seconds running IBT at the high setting, I think you`re fine. :)
ive been reading some of my old OCing threads, and it looks like im getting similiar temps abour 3C hotter which is understandable because of the increase in ambient temp.

im hitting 67C while gaming. you guys think that is perfectly normal for 24/7 gaming?

I just fired up Prime on my 3770K/P8z77-Pro and it is running max at 75C. My house is 21C, 70F
TJmax is 105C so unless you constantly run high 80,s, low 90's I wouldn't worry Patrick. This is an OC of 4.4GHz.

Prime should run for 30 minutes to get stable readings.

Noob, I think those temps are about right for an H80. I know there are people here who will disagree with me but I've had 2 H100's and they were not worth it to me. My Noctua NH-D14 was about 3-4C cooler than the H100. So, your temps are not that bad with an H80, and I doubt an H100 would be much different. IMO, if an air cooler can beat a closed loop system, there's something wrong with the coolers. No air cooler should be close to a closed loop system, much less get beat by one. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Been there, done that.

I can answer that for Gary. His gaming temps are about 34. It doesn't take much CPU power to play Solitaire.

Usually about 39C, but that's with Solitaire, I don't game otherwise. Don't fret about 67C, it won't shut down until you go past 105C.

Have I gone into the wrong thread? I could have sworn this was "show us your rig".

I could have also sworn Noober had a few threads going on his overclocks and temps etc. Perhaps it would be better to get one of them going again or even talk about it in the "post your overclock" thread.

You can save yourself by posting a picture of your rig though Noober lol.
