So I'm considering upgrading the cooling in my case, due to the fact that it sounds like a vacuum cleaner whenever I play a high demanding game, is it worth going with water?
@BorisTheAnimal
Better cooling whether water or air is always good.
We would need to know what cpu cooling you are using now.
Your video card is considered to be low noise level, about 40 dBA at gaming mode full stress.
This leads me to believe that the case fans are making the noise. Possibly your cpu cooler fans.
***At what cpu and gpu temps does the noise get loud?***
If the temps aren't out of wack you might be able to slow the case fans down a bit.
I personally would choose quieter fans. Two brands that I use are Noctua and Phanteks.
Many case manufactures don't install the top of the line fans.
I have to be very picky with fans because the system in my specs has 14 fans.
Just think if they were all noisy. It would sound like a airport during a air show.
