    Yes, we do have a weird definition of fun! I know just what you mean about not being able to see things when working on them. When I was shortening my cables, I was using both a hand held lighted magnifier and a magnifying head band similar to this so my old eyes could see what my equally old fingers were fooling around with:

    My eyes are so bad I couldn't see up a fly's backside no matter how much light I had.

    I've been getting most of my connector bodies and pins from Performance-PCs and Frozen CPU although I've gotten some really oddball ones from ModDIY and Fleabay. ModDIY is in Hong Kong so getting parts from there take a while. The next time I make PSU cables, I'm going to try the pins, connector bodies, and wire from Lutro0 Customs (he now sells through ModBunker), His wire is supposed to have thinner insulation and the pins longer "wings".

    Include some cookies with the bill. Please!

    Well I got to go and try to fix another LED harness.
    No pain no gain.

    I have two 30 centimeters Uv led stripes which have a deep color Uv quality leds inside and are stronger build. Also have two Flex of 12cm lengh too from Lamptron but those are not the same Uv quality (which are poorer) and are brighter Uv stripes, got too four 5mn single Uv leds lightning the same as the 30cm lentgh ones. All are 5V. But even with those inside the case i barely can't see some of the parts i wanted to make reacting with UV...Hell of plenty you must have!!!

    That's why i think Neons with starter lights better as my first case had two of plain blue ones and were damn too bright. I took led stripes just because they stay longer in time.

    @Lady,

    Good job on getting rid of cables on your hotswap bay and paint. Wish you quick reinstall now, you must have nearly finish all of your modding to swap all your stuff soon...?

    Thanks, NoN! About the only thing left I want to do with the case before making the swap is to pull the PSU connectors and apply silicone to them as Jack suggested a while back while I can still get them out (I had the divil's own time getting them in) so they won't get permanently stuck. I just haven't felt like wrestling with the case lately (I'm afraid it would win; I dread lugging it around with a full load of HDDs!). I do want to get the swap done soon even if only because I sick and tired of looking at it setting in my hallway.

    I recently got two more toys for my computer: a 4TB WD Black HDD (twice, actually; the first one was DOA) and a 4TB WD Green HDD for backing up the Black. I need three more of the Greens but, being the cheap old bit...broad I am, I'm "borrowing" three 2TB Greens from another internal drive's backup drives for now (it will be a while before I exceed 2TB of data) in hopes I can catch the remaining three 4TB Greens on sale around Black Friday. I was able to get the 4TB Black for $50 off. Those 4TB drives are seriously heavy!

    Nice job Lady F, I took a cookie. I hope you don't mind but I was hungry due to the timescale between updates

    No worries, Paul; there's plenty more where those came from.

    @Jack. I forgot to mention some of those vendors I listed have discount codes available:

    frozencpu.com 5% off: pcapex
    performance-pcs.com 5.5% off: ocn55

    Jeannei if I may ask; what do you do that you need that many terabytes of backup space.
    If it's a secret I won't tell anybody.
