    That's a good choice.

I'd also consider this one; slightly cheaper, slightly larger, slightly newer; with good reviews; highly regarded brand:

I've used several Crucial's of other models and they are great. My fav is the Samsung Pro but it's pricey. Of the EVO or Crucial have no reservations with the Crucial.

Samsung SSD's are the way to go! If you want a budget SSD for a 2nd computer, an HTPC, etc get one of the new Crucial models.

I think the 850 Pro is the best if your budget works with it. If not, get the Crucial MX100.

I have use Intel's ssd for a long time and Samsung ssd's for a short time and both brands have server me well. The Samsung ssd is only used for backups so I really haven't run it through all the things that a Windows 7 ssd would go through.

I've got a Mushkin Chronos as my boot drive and I love it. I don't think it's quite as fast as the Samsung models are, so I think my next drive will be a Samsung EVO.

The 840 EVOs are awesome, top notch performing and reliable SSDs. For PC use, I wouldn't recommend anything above them, save for the newer 850 PROs.

The Samsung Data Migration and the Magician software are pretty sweet too.

Would be highly surprised if you're not more than pleased with yours.

Only thing you could want more of is capacity. Proud owner of a 1TB one myself.

Make sure you enable RAPID mode (likely no real reason for you not to). Works as an additional RAM cache buffer for data transfer. Middle speeds in this picture are my 840 EVO with RAPID mode enabled (left is HDD and right is a RAM drive; all are NTFS formatted):

Its moot at this point but I have a crucial SSD and it works perfect. As of right now, I think you find a decent brand thats cheap, get it. I don't see a ton of advantages with going real expensive.
