The 840 Pro is a more expensive series than the 840 EVO. In the USA, the Pro is about $35 more expensive.

If you can't get the EVO, look at other brands, such as Crucial or Mushkin.

You aren't likely to notice performance differences between one SSD and another SSD. They are all far superior to mechanical hard drives in access time and overall response. The only brand I would try to definitely avoid is OCZ.

Let us know what SSDs are in your budget range in the 120 GB or 128 GB sizes. Depending on what applications you install, you may be able to do well with a smaller size. My SSD is only 80 GB.

Windows 7 Ultimate x64

I found it: SSD Samsung 120GB 840 EVO Basic, MZ-7TE120B
It is 120 GB and not 128 GB, I searched for 128 GB so I didn't find it. I'll put that in my build. And sorry for typing i7 and not i5.
Is there any way to install Windows on SSD and that all the other programs automatically go to the HDD without me having to change the location, some programs don't even offer that option and I don't want half programs on the SSD and half on the HDD.

Windows 7 Professional 64bit SP1

You want to put your OS AND programs on your SSD, and all other files, such as pictures, videos, music, documents, etc on the hard drive. There are several ways to do that.....I know there is a tutorial on it here on the forums, if I can find it I will post it for you.

You'll find a 120 gb more then enough for your OS and tons of programs and a good many of your most popular games but with prices falling as they are watching for sales and jumping on a 256gb ssd I think is becoming the new standard.

You can use this guide User Folders - Change Default Location. I use option 2, but either of them will work.

Can I install Icon Packs designed for Build 7600 on to Build 7601?
Can I install Icon Packs designed for Build 7600 to Build 7601? An Icon Pack was saying install on to 7600 only and after I checked my regedit, I learned that I have 7601 (Probably SP1, I don't know). Would I have any problems if I install the icon pack? Thanks.
