    GTX 750 on a 250W PSU?

Hey guys I just want a graphics card that will run most games with no problems and I'm really looking into the GTX 750 (not Ti version).

So the following description of the 250W Power Supply is as follows:

    Bestec ATX-250-12Z Rev: H5R

    Input: 100-12V-6A , 200-240V-3A

    Output:+12V --- / 14A , -12V --- / 0.8A
    +5V --- / 25A , +5VSB --- / 2A Peak 2.5A
    +3.3V --- / 18A,
    +5V & 3.3V 165W MAX. +5V & +12V 218W MAX

    250W MAX

Is this PSU for just the card? That sounds way under powered for the whole system. Which card is it as a refrence one pulls about 60w it looks like GeForce GTX 750 | Specifications | GeForce

EDIT: Your current system uses a 24 Pin ATX power connector and that psu you have listed is only a 20 PIN ATX. If it's the one from your specs.

I will put that card on my other PC. The other PC has same specifications except for the power supply :)

Nice chart, chart and yeah I'm surprised your whole system runs well with that psu seems pretty underpowered.

NVIDIA and ATi often overpower them, why? Because it's in their safety procedures. The GT 730 and GT 740 will run on any good 250W power supplies but then NVIDIA overpowered the requirements to 300W because they test their graphic cards with power hungry hardwares. But I'm not sure if the GTX 750 will stand strong with a 250W.

So I guess I'll be buying another CX430 *sigh*
