Really, much faster to just turn the fan around.
Ive modded these fans and when turning them around they make a horrible vibrating noise. They are used horizontally
Turning them around should not make a difference. Can you post a pic of them mounted? If they are not secured it can cause vibration.
Its not the mounting. The fans themselves make a horrible noise because of my mod. This happens fan side up. They are against a radiator too.

Having mounting holes at each corner on both sides suggests they can be mounted either way, blow air out or in.
Sorry my explanation wasnt very good. Please read the above post

Sounds like a good time to buy un-modded fans and start over.

I drilled holes in the back, painted the blades and put them back on. Since then they've done that. These are sp120s that come with the h105

Try taking it apart again, then put the blade back on. The vibration seems to indicate you didn't get it back on right. Is the paint job even and smooth?

Yep, doesn't take much to upset the balance of the blades, paint will do it when the coats are not exactly the same. Dust buildup on fans will do it.

It's your choice, could be you just need to re do the paint job. Post a pic of your modded fans if you'd like
