I'm so proud I built it myself. I really love this rig for everyday use and gaming. It's unreal.
    That's a really nice rig

Good job on the cable management, looks very nice

    Like the CPU cooler.

    Enjoy....
I am enjoying it like no other pc I've ever owned. I see you have an i5 750 to. Very nice rig you have there. I like my mobo but I'm thinking of getting the i7 930 or just replacing my i5 750 with the i7 860 down the road. Not sure what I want to do.

My cooler is rock solid. I just added two new fans to get the push/pull set up with two little powerhouse fans. I put two Gentle Typhoons at 1850 rpm's! :)
I'm really liking mine as well, most fun PC I ever had, might go the i7 860 route later.

Mine usually runs at (30-C) 86-F, was about (54-C) 129-F during the Prime95 test, CPU 3.6 MHz.
    Gotta like those CPU coolers.

    What's your idle/BTTW temps at 4 GHz?

Just ordered a SSD, will have to wait a little while for it to arrive

    That's extreme.

My i5 at idle is near the mid 30's as well. I do have my Vcore pumped up near 1.37. Got give my mobo some breathing room. At stress time gets near 73c.

I mean as in stress testing such as LinX testing.

What SSD did you order? I'm really looking at picking me up the Intel X25-M Mainstream 80GB! Right now their like $299 at the Egg. I'm gonna wait til they drop in price. That's still kinda of expensive.

Those are good temps, proving CPU coolers are a must have investment.

Ordered the Intel X25 V, only 40GB but the price is right
When the pricing relaxes on the current new batch of SSDs, the X25 V will have a good home in the second HDD bay of my laptop.

    The X25M 80GB was at $229 (Newegg) for a while, that's a good deal.

Been looking at the new SandForce controllers, they're looking pretty good.

Best 50GB SSDs at the best price:

    OCZ Vertex LE (Limited Edition)
    At read - 270 MB/s and write - 250 MB/s, thinks it's the SF 1500 controller, $202 it's a deal.

    OCZ Agility 2
    Read - 285 MB/s and write - 275 MB/s, SF 1200 controller, $ 195 good also.

Ideally would like to have 60-80GB for my desktop.

If you wait 5-6 months these prices should be better.
Next January Intel's 25 nm are due to be released, that should bring the price/GB to a acceptable level.

    The problem is the waiting

Well, I don't have a picture right now, but off the top of my head:

Desktop: AMD Phenom II X4 945 @ 3.0GHz, 4GB A-DATA DDR2 RAM, 250GB Seagate IDE drive (OS), 160GB Seagate SATA drive (Multimedia/Downloads), Sparkle Nvidia GeForce 9400GT 512MB. Pretty good, but the GPU needs upgrading to play more recent games on higher resolutions and settings.

I just got this for my birthday 2 days ago: Toshiba Satellite A505-S6017 Laptop

The graphics chipset in this thing is really beefy, much more than I expected. I read Intel Media Accelerator HD and kind of frowned. But then I put on Half-Life 2 out of curiousity and it played it totally maxed out. 1300 x 600, 16x AA, 6x MSA, everything on High. No hickups at all, and it was just about as fast as on my desktop. It really shocked me. I read that it's the equivalent to a 9400M.

I have that same exact Asus and love it. Bare Foot are you running DVI or HDMI to it? I recently switched from DVI to HDMI and now when shutting down, my asus doesn't go into sleep mode.

    Anyway thanks for the pics!

    Hello Sanvean.

It's HDMI, but my machine never "sleeps" but the monitor will go to standby.
