Just for flushing out your pump.
Yup, I just wasnt sure weather it had to be distilled water or something lol. I might buy some clear tubing and get a different colour fluid maybe bright orange or something not really a fan of the green.

    Cheers.

So... I've been planning a case mod for a few months now, and I'm slowly but surely finding all the parts I need.

So far, here is where I stand:
Clear perspex panel - already have
4x 120mm Zalman green LED fans - already have
Round hole mesh panel - awaiting delivery
Black cable sleeving kit - awaiting delivery

I'm going to strip my case and spray all interior panels in a matt-black, sleeve all my cables, replace the front fan cover with mesh (which I'm also going to spray black), and sort out the side panel.

As for the side panel, I need some help deciding which way to actually do this... I have the perspex, although I'm not sure whether or not I'll actually use it or not. I've ordered extra mesh as well, although I'm not sure how much of it I'll actually use...

I have two ideas for the side panel:

Firstly I could use the perspex and cut holes for mounting two of the 120mm fans with covers made out of the black mesh (to match the front). This way I can use my dremmel to engrave a cool design into the perspex (like a dragon or tribal tattoo or something), which will then 'glow' with the lights in my case.

Otherwise I was also thinking of simply replacing the entire side panel window with black mesh, and not use any perspex.. This way would be better for airflow, and would be much easier to do, but I'm not quite sure how it will look. One benefit here is that I won't have as much light shining out the side of my case as the perspex will allow.

Any votes? Perspex or no perspex? Hopefully I should get the last few components in about a week, then I can start putting some pictures up as I go along.

Am leaning towards the black mesh, it's definitely a personal preference.

You could always do both and switch them when you get bored with one.

Mine has a 70% tinted window with vent slots in a third of it. Nice as it dims the fan lites, when I manage to turn them on.

Yeah, I definitely like that idea... I think I'll do the mesh side panel first though, it'll take quite a bit of work to engrave my design into the perspex, I don't want to rush it. :) Now it's just waiting for the mesh to arrive.. Grrr... I hate waiting.

That's a very efficient system you are building, cost versus performance. Would be great to see your final set up and overclock if any.
I feel for you on the PSU. PSU problems are a nightmare (at least for me) to diagnose and frequently result in builders taking the wrong path before realizing that it is the PSU causing the problems. It's happened so many times to me, that I now go for overkill on the PSU.
    Best of luck.

That's a really nice build, too bad about the PSU, always gotta be something.
14 days to wait for the replacement, that's painful.

Congrats to you and your mate.
lol Diagnosing the GX750 was rather easy, considering the loud clicking sound it would emit before shutting everything off...
My 650 however I had to test in another system... and it was a pain in the backside diging that test system out of the shed.
And thanks fellas He's dropping it off at my place on his way to work, his GX 750 replacement arrived at the post office today so I'll install that for him, and maybe take a few dozen pics to upload here...

Brilliant idea. So brilliant I think I may do that when I Decide to mod a case.

I'm curious as well. Why downsize if you already have that hardware?

And 2x 5870 is still crossfire...

I have to agree there... I've been an AMD fanboy for many years now (since back in the day an AMD 4600+ ate my Intel P4 3.0GHz HT for breakfast, I still had more RAM and a better GPU), but IF I had an i7, especially a 980x i7, I would hang onto it until AMD brought out their tri-channel RAM setups. As far as I know, AMD still haven't done anything about that just yet...
