    Opinions on Revised Build

My part list has changed significantly from when I was first on this website. After gathering much knowledge over the past few months, I feel confident with sharing my part list on this network. I kept the Haswell Refresh i5 4690K as I feel confident in OC'ing the chip. I have become a bit more flexible with the budget and have increased $200 to $1200. If I can build something better with $1200 let me know, all opinions are accepted and will be looked at! *SSDs are not included but I will be using a Crucial MX100 128GB Boot Drive*

Looks good, personally I would increase ram speed to 2400 mhz. I used TEAM Xtreme in my i5 build with a mini ITX ASUS and let me tell it it's the freak'n bomb and flat screams !

Cheaper... and faster... Hmmmm.... I'll consider it. This would be extremely benificial for a friend who wants an APU build (A10-7850k). I'm glad you're not one of the many people who remarked the S340 "sucked bc no optical drive". I won't need it..

That looks great! I'm sure they perform beastly as well. So in the ITX build, I'm assuming you went with watercooling correct? RAM clearance seems totally absent from the pictures, really tall heat spreader.

Seems kind of a crime not to get an SSD for a boot drive these days. A 128 or 256 GB will run you between 90 and 130 dollars. They make a world of difference.

Is there a reason to choose the 4690k over the 4790k? The latter is 4 GHz out of the box.

The WD blue 1TB is a better drive than the Seagate for the same money. It is a single platter and is fast and quiet. I have 2 in raid-0.

You should be able to fit these in your budget.

The EVGA power supply has not gotten stellar reviews. There are better around that price point or a little more.

Good call on that EVGA power supply.
    Two brands I prefer.
