Windows 7 Hardware Upgrade Problem

I am in the process of trying to upgrade the motherboard and processor on my computer. I tried moving my hard drive to the new computer and it would not boot to Windows 7. I read an article about how to prepare the hard drive for the move, so I put it back into my old computer to boot it and make the necessary changes. But now it won't boot on my old system either. I've tried running the Windows 7 disc to repair the system but it will not repair it. The only info I'm getting is an error message relates to the windows/system32/winloadexe file. It says "the selected entry could not be loaded because the application is missing or corrupt". Can anyone offer any advice?

Unable to repair Windows 7 after hardware upgrade
I installed a new motherboard, CPU & memory today. Prior to this, I decided not to do a clean install of windows, but just to boot up & repair if needed when the new configuration booted up. I DID do a backup of data before dismantling the old system, so I have that saved. However, when I...
