Advice for replacing a power supply [Desktop machine]
Right now my main computer is down with my power supply being dead. Right now I do need to get something on the cheaper side tho honestly I am really not to sure with what I really need for my system. I had a 600W power supply surely a little overkill for what I had and since I am on a budget looking to see what lower I can do and work with.
I know for the most part all I have in my system (the only thing I am not fully sure is the exact model video card other then it is a 9800GT asus card as not the exact same one I had as one point I had to RMA my old one and it was replaced with a slightly different card.
CPU is a AMD Phenom II X4 975 Black Edition Deneb Quad-Core 3.6GHz Socket AM3 125W Desktop Processor HDZ975FBGMBOX
Ram is CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9
Video card is Asus 9800gt 512 MB card
Motherboard is MSI 870A-G54 (FX) AM3+ AMD 870 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
Other devices is 2 sata hard drives and one sata DVD burner along with a few USB things like headset, mouse, and keyboard.
I am looking for some good advice as to what I need for a power supply how low a Wattage I can do and have it run right so I can start searching for something within my budget.
