    Here's a benchmark I found, comparing the Skylake i7-6700K to the 4790K.

    Single thread and multi-thread.

    I don't know anything about this "Geekbench" benchmark or how representative of the real world it might be.

    4 to 8 percent improvement with a 4.5% lower clock speed (4.2 versus 4.4). Might run a little cooler.

    I think Skylake is gonna suit my needs rather than going berserk with X99, just hoping to see an ASUS ROG MB..
