Looked at the stock fans that came with the liquid cooler and they are four wire also :/
Might have an issue if the sp140's only have 3 wires ?

If you run your three pin fans on four pin headers that are set to run PWM, they will run full blast. I don't know if you can set individual fan headers to either voltage or PWM control or if you have to do it for the entire board. My P9X79 has four pin headers but I have to set a jumper to enable either PWM or voltage control. The jumper setting applies to all the fan headers on the board. Since your board is newer than mine, it may have better control over the headers than mine does (and I'm too lazy to look it up; it should be in your gasp manual).

Look on the Corsair forums and you will see a lot of people have had problems with Corsair Link. That was one reason why I bought an AX760 instead of an AX760i.
Yea I might have to watch the youtube vid again about hooking it up without corsair link :/
Or put the stock fans on it ?
    I'll flip a coin :)

The stock fans are noisy as hell. Put the SP fans on and connect them to the pump, let the pump control the fans. Job done.

Yea well the corsair manual is a joke
The asus manual uses vague terms and doesn't apply or is not specific to corsair so it's easily as useless when you throw corsair in the way

Try going to the Corsair Forums to see if anyone there might be able to help you.

That is the way it's hooked up now :)
Not sure if it will have a running issue lacking one lead though Brian's using the stock fans
You aren't so did you have an extra male lead coming off the corsair to sp120 fan connection Gav ?

Each fan should have a lead coming off it, they connect up to an adaptor cable (one per lead) and the adaptors connect to the pump. There shouldn't be any extra leads at all Mike. The unit is modular, there are no hard wired cables coming off it.

Yea but picture the mother board ports for the fans,
It will adapt to four or three pin fans,
Now the corsair wire for the fan is the same way it has four pins
The ps140 has three pins one pin just like the mobo will not be used

Question to you was Gav did you have a extra pin left over from the corsair fan plug
Your sp120 should be the same wiring 3 pin to corsair four pin.

Oh an extra pin? Yeah the SP120s I used are three pin so I had a pin left over, that's not a problem Mike, the adaptor cables have a leading edge on them to make sure you connect three pin connectors up correctly. I may be doing some cable management over the weekend so if I do I'll get some photos for you.
