would you keep a Mobo that is rev.1.0, when there is newer version?

    Hello

    Need some advice
So I ordered a MB it arrived and I noticed it was rev.1.0 mobo (edit)
asked amazon to send me the latest version rev.1.2 and they send me the same one again

I'm not too sure about keeping it(again) because based on some googling, usually they release a new version because they couldn't patch something with software updates

this is the MB gigabyte z97z-ud5h
    GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 1150 - GA-Z97X-UD5H (rev. 1.0)

    Thanks in advance!

You don`t ask Amazon anything, you order what you want or you get it from somewhere else.

If you don`t want it, send it back.

What are the differences between these revisions ? What are they exactly ?

Newegg mentions nothing about revisions, call gigabyte about it.

I would keep it. Basically the reason they revise a specific motherboard is because they want to change a bit of the layout or physical problems

I agree if you wanted 1.2 you should of bought it from gigabyte obviously Amazon has what it has and it might of came from someone else ?
You bought 1.0 and they sent it to you.

Ryu Hehe I wrote this wrong hence the confusion

I didn't knowingly order a rev.1.0 it did not mention the revision anywhere

I migh buy from somewhere now, but amazon is the cheapest (I found) for computer parts, that's why I ordered from there (especially ssd's)

Funny I found good deals at Newegg more than Amazon
    Some locally at Micro Center
Mother board and both gpu's came from Newegg
cpu came from Micro Center along with psu/ monitor/ keyboard/ cd-dvd burner
    Mouse came from Amazon
    ssd came from Samsung
I believe my case came from Amazon :/

Trouble with Amazon is too often they aren't the supplier only the go between.

That's funny. I struck Newegg off my vendor list over two years ago. Not only because of the "Jell-O on the wall" pricing schemes but also the poor service and packaging. When they didn't take a cash payment through PayPal saying my accounts didn't match and canceled my order, that was the final straw. I've had the same bank and PayPal account since about 1998 and never had a problem anywhere else. Probably just as well; I found the same items on Amazon for a few bucks less and shipping was less. And I usually receive Amazon stuff by the third day after ordering. Newegg takes a week to ten days to get here.

Newegg hasn't been charging tax or often shipping
All of the products I bought were cheaper list price and no tax to boot
Pretty much why I bought from them
I do indeed shop around = always :)
