I recently overclocked an AMD c-50 with Radeon HD6250 chip set based laptop from 1Ghz to 2.6Ghz, and the performance gain was incredible across those 3 games.
160% overclock is going some - especially on a laptop
As promised, here is a screem grab of the laptop. It is a HP/Compaq Presario CQ57 with the c-50 apu. I have it undervolted by .15v, and at 2.5-2.7 ghz overclock using a utility for the amd
Brazos apu chipsets, called BrazosTweaker. The normal multiplier is 40/4.0

I can just say that this old machine can may be run Terraria. Minecraft? Forget about it. It can possibly run Zomboid aswell. But no overclocking at all, this old machine can't overclock at all.

    EDIT: It overclocked? Amazing.

The lowest performing part is the hard drive. it is a 5400 rpm seagate.

    Hi and welcome back :)

What are the other numbers ?
You might get lucky and only need a ssd = solid state drive upgrade
Amazon.com: Crucial BX100 Solid State Drives: Electronics

Adding an ssd is one of the single best things you can do for any machine young or old :)

Sorry for necro, but I discovered what kind of panel helped reduce my seizures. LCD TN panels. Both of my Dell monitors are TN panels.
