    It's stable and more up to date for Gaming which he doesn't want to do

    Seriously for the Coin he is willing to pay might as well get something good for three years and him getting a machine with a 760 will set him back a couple years which is ok but with the 2016 games coming out a 760 will be painful especially if he used any Hairworks games

    Granted both of the computer suggestions were good
    1 was a bit over budget but the asus was spot on

    I see no reason to limit os options beside he already purchased the Acer with win-8 or 8.1 so it is too late
    Possibly he will buy a win-7 oem/ system builders too and upgrade the win-8 to 10
