And then there is not only the GTX 760 - there are some other components too. E.g. the CPU does not run on thin air.

Yep it doesn't state it's a k series cpu but i grabbed this
I find it somewhat interesting that the idle power consumption was a bit higher with the Core i7-4790K. It isn't enough to be worried about, but I imagine this is something that will be tweaked in the UEFI of this motherboard in the near future. Load power consumption is a bit different, as the Core i7-4790K pulls 28.5 watts more power than the Core i7-4770K. That extra power comes with another 500 MHz of clock speed and 7-14% additional performance though, and I think all enthusiasts would gladly make that trade.
It does put the quad-core Core i7-4790K damned close the load power draw of the Core i7-4960X, a 6-core part with a quad-channel memory controller.
    Performance per Dollar
One thing we wanted to take into consideration with this review is the idea of performance per dollar. To get some interesting data I selected three benchmarks (7zip, Cinebench 11 and x264 v5.0) and included current pricing from Newegg.com (or Amazon if out of stock on Newegg).

Googling says a system with a GTX760 video card typically uses in the low 100s watts at idle and in the low to mid 300s under a severe load.

Test: 4 variants of the GeForce GTX 760

I probably would NOT replace the PSU unless I knew it to be shoddy. Just use it and if you develop issues, think about a replacement.

From your description of your usage pattern, I'd guess you would rarely put a 250 watt load on the PC.

No one can tell if it's shoddy without more info, which may not be available. What EXACTLY does it say on the power supply. Can you take a picture of the label on it? It may be we can dig up more info.

The most notable thing about that $880 PC is that it does not have an SSD.
Otherwise, it's very strong. The 4790 is hardly an "entry level" CPU.

And it's very unlikely you need 12 GB of RAM.

But you did what you did and if it doesn't break down, you did fine. Enjoy it.

What exactly is use for a motherboard and power supply.
All 500W power supplies are not created equal.

A no name dig dong 500W power supply to me is very questionable.

I believe opening the case may not be a good idea
If I remember my Acer it has a sealed tag that states opening will void warranty

    Rock on
Personally if I were in the market I would not limit my options to 1 very green in the gills win-10
8.1 is no price but at least it's stable and still on the free upgrade list to 10 if the op chooses to go that route.
And if they decide they don't like 10 they can roll back to 8.1.

I like W7, W8.1, and W10. W10 is far from green in the gills IMO
