    Building a new custom desktop

Hi, I wanted to build a new custom desktop. I made this thread just to verify if my specs are all compatible before I buy them. Please tell me if I need to correct something. No money limit.

    MotherBoard: ROG STRIX X99
    Processor: i7-6950X
    RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 64GB (DDR4)
    PowerSupply: Corsair AX1200i
    Graphics Card: GTX 1080
    Cooling System: Corsair H115i
Harddrive: Samsung SSD 850 PRO (SATA III 512GB or 1TB)
Casing: NZXT Phantom 820 or Corsair Obsidian Series 900D
    Disk Burner/Reader: LG WH16NS40

    Thanks.

Must be nice Everything looks fine.

Have you considered Corsair Dominator Platinum instead of GSkill ?

    What brand 1080 ?

I recommend getting 4 of these, as the fans that come with the cooler are just too loud.

Air Series SP140 LED Red High Static Pressure 140mm Fan Twin Pack

I have mine connected directly to 12 volt to run at full speed all the time and they are very quiet.

    That's some build!
The only thing in common is I just bought an LG WH16NS40 because my old one died.
Maybe check that all your components are Windows 10 compatible because like it or not you may have little option in the future and your system looks a long term proposition. Some conventional HDD sinners may be good for long term data storage.
BTW I'm curious why you need 64GB Ram.
